This year, Marvel returned to the cinema with his Cinematographic Universe (MCU) and after the first of the premieres, the long-awaited Black Widow, the time will come to continue the story of this saga. Is that, the movie of Scarlett Johansson is set in the past and this week’s premiere will be the first to tell forward what happened after what was seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Is about Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, that will continue the path that they marked WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki on Disney+.
Although it seemed not to be such an important premiere, especially because of how little known it is Shang-Chi for those who are not part of the hardest core of fans of Marvel, the new movie of MCU it has seasonings to position itself among those that are worth highlighting. Here is a list of reasons so you know why you have to see it both in theaters and when it is released for Disney+.
3 – The Humor that characterizes Marvel
Awkwafina was a great companion for Simu Liu. (Disney)
Since the MCU, all his films were characterized by having a humor that relieved moments of tension or served to give a break between so many action sequences. In the case of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is no exception. The great reference in this regard was Awkwafina, who was in charge of interpreting Katy, the best friend of Shang-Chi (Simu Liu). Awkwafina I had already shown this side in productions like Ocean’s Eight and Crazy Rich Asians, and this time he does it again in a great way.
2 – Martial Arts, a great highlight of Shang-Chi

Fans of MCU are used to seeing great fight choreography but none comes close to what was done in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The fact that Simu Liu has a past as a stuntman was perfectly used to film sequences that show the actor’s skill without the need to resort to constant cuts or excessively open or closed shots that do not allow the actor to enjoy himself. Shang-Chi it shines throughout the entire production thanks to the way in which it took elements of Chinese cinema.
1 – The structure that moves away from a traditional Marvel movie

Simu Liu highlighted the pride he felt in starring in this film as the first superhero of Asian origin. (Disney)
In the same way that he took elements of oriental cinema for martial arts, he did it to build his story. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings he is not afraid to tell a story that draws on Asian culture. He even uses various sequences in which the dialogue and voice-overs were recorded in Chinese. It is a fresh breath among so much similar production that I began to notice that the threads were seen in the films of the MCU.
