300,000 euros for the axis of the Porch with which James Dean was killed

James Dean was always considered one of the best actors of his generation. Bad fortune turned him into a legend when, on September 30, 1955, the actor’s death was confirmed after a fatal traffic accident. The car in which he was traveling was a Porsche Spyder 550, with which he competed in some car races.

The actor had bought this vehicle months before, when he was immersed in the filming of ‘Gigante’ his last film. The one from Indiana was unlucky enough to come across a Ford Tudor driven by a student, which he couldn’t avoid, and end up dying after the accident.

The news shocked the world press and, since then, James Dean became an icon of cinematography from that moment, and the rest of his Porsche Spyder 550, a collector’s item.

A million dollar auction

A few weeks ago some objects that belonged to the American actor went up for auction, including the axle of the actor’s car as a real gem for collectors.

At the auctions, the axle was sold for 382,000 dollars, about 300,000 euros to change, and was acquired by a well-known American presenter, Zak Bagans.

Straight to a museum

Zak Bagans is a well-known television host who maintains paranormal-related entertainment shows on channels such as Discovery Plus.

The presenter is known for the program ‘Ghost Hunters’ with which he has become known worldwide. Equally, Zak Bagans is also known for his collector’s side of rare and macabre objects that he has acquired throughout his life.

With the axle that he got from the car that J died withames Dean, the presenter has indicated that he will take you to his haunted museum located in the city of Nevada.

The presenter got the axle because its previous owner, who also acquired it at auction in 2020, put it up for sale again. The axis comes perfectly prepared to be exhibited since it is kept in a support so that visitors can see the object that remembers the death of actor James Dean.

The James Dean car piece will be joined by such strange pieces as some concerning Bela Lugosi, the devilish doll Peggy, the “Devil’s rocking chair” or Charles Manson bone fragments.
