Christmas without any stress: So that you can lock out the pandemic for a moment and celebrate as relaxed as the Heile-Welt-c’t family, this time we will look for gifts for you. On twelve pages we have collected 36 selected gift tips that friends and family can sweeten the party – all tips have been hand-tested by c’t editors and found to be good. We have put together the links to the original articles in the magazine for you.

Oh, and you don’t have to worry about shelves swept empty by a pandemic and a lack of chips: all of the devices that we present to you on the following pages are actually still available (at least they were at the time of going to press, cough).

If you can’t let your thoughts off of work even at Christmas, the best thing to do is to give gifts from the office to go section. Things that you can put in your ears, put on your nose or tie around your arm and wrist can be found on a separate double page. We called it body contact. All sorts of gadgets for the smart home can be found in the Smarthome department. Under the title “Geile Gadgets” we have put together, well, you guessed it, awesome gadgets. And we have also thought of the creative (camera is running!) And the safety-conscious (safety first).

All categories have one thing in common: There is also one or the other gift that you can wonderfully put under the tree yourself. But enough of the words: The c’t editors wish you a lot of fun browsing and a relaxing and healthy Advent season!

In c’t 26/2021 we show how you can switch from Windows 10 to 11 with just a few clicks of the mouse – and how you can overcome higher hurdles, for example if your PC does not meet the hardware requirements. In addition, we have compiled hand-picked gift tips from the c’t editors on six double pages and tested clever suction bots with object recognition. You will find issue 26/2021 from December 3rd in Heise shop and at the well-stocked newspaper kiosk.
