Marley and Paradis are ready to face off in a war
The final episode that aired before the show’s break ended with the promise of conflict. Pieck, the Cart Titan, and Galliard, the Jaw Titan, ambushed Eren and forced him to transform. Meanwhile, the Marley airships descend from the sky with more soldiers and Reiner Braun, the armored titan. Eren leads a dissident faction called the Jaegerists
After liberius’ raid and Eren’s subsequent imprisonment, support for him began to grow among members of the army and the general population. These people came to be known as the Jaegerists, followers of Eren who helped stage a military coup.
After Eren escapes from prison, he encounters the Jaegerists, whose members include Floch Forster. Their goal is to find Zeke, thus reuniting his royal blood with the power of the Founding Titan of Eren, and re-establish a New Eldian Empire. The Jaegerists killed Dhalis Zachary, captured the senior officers of the Scout Regiment, and took over the Cadet Corps, ordering the cadets to defeat Instructor Keith Shadis in the process.
Zeke is working on a euthanasia plan that would extinguish the power of the Titans
Zeke’s plan is to use his royal blood and the power of the founding titan of Eren to sterilize all Eldians. Tom Xaver, the previous Beast Titan, told Zeke when he was younger that the Founding Titan had the power to alter not only the minds but also the bodies of the Ymir Subjects. It is through this power that Zeke hopes to wipe out the Eldian people.
Yelena explains this euthanasia plan in episode 16. Unable to reproduce, the Eldians will slowly become extinct, taking with them the destructive power of the Titans. . In theory, erasing this power will bring greater peace in the world. Stanley Tucci says he is a ‘big believer’ in cutting entire lines of dialogue because ‘many writers will overwrite’
Eren broke off his friendship with Mikasa and Armin
In the midst of the Jaegerists’ military coup, Eren talks to Mikasa, Armin, and Gabi, Liberius’ warrior candidate. During the conversation, she tells Mikasa that her Ackermann blood is what forced her to fight the day they met and continue to protect him ever since.
During the conversation, Armin attempts to fight Eren, only to be immediately stopped by Mikasa. She leaves him like this, where she once again tries to fight Eren. Eren wins and tells Armin that they had never fought before because it wouldn’t be a fair fight. He then captures them and imprisons them both.
Eren is currently in possession of the Founding Titan, Attack Titan, and War Hammer Titan
At the point where the anime ended, Eren has three different titans. First, there’s the Attack Titan, which he inherited from his father after Eren Kruger gave it to Grisha Jaeger. Eren is also in possession of the Founding Titan, which he also inherited from Grisha after Grisha forcibly removed it from Frieda Reiss.
Eren’s possession of the War Hammer Titan is more recent. He gained his power, which consists of creating structures from Titan’s flesh, after eating Lara Tybur during the attack on Liberius. His power is what allowed him to escape from prison after the raid.
Mikasa is a descendant of the nation of The Lost Lord of Hizuru
Mikasa Ackerman learns that the symbol tattooed on her wrist is actually the coat of arms of her mother’s family. MAPPA Paul Rudd says he doesn’t care about this year’s Super Bowl after his beloved Chiefs didn’t make it: “I didn’t get over the loss”
When Kiyomi Azumabito from the nation of Hizuru arrives in Paradis, he shows his family’s shield and Mikasa realizes that it is the same one his mother tattooed on his wrist.
Azumabito reveals that the shogun from whom his family descends had a son who visited Paradis frequently and met with King Fritz. In the midst of the Great War of the Titans, the son stayed in Paradis and Mikasa is his direct descendant. In Azumabito’s words, she is “Hizuru’s hope.”
After Eren’s escape, Mikasa rejects Azumabito’s offer to escape to his ship in the face of an imminent assault on Paradis.
There are still Eldian soldiers in Paradis who have ingested Zeke’s cerebrospinal fluid through the poisoned wine
Part of Zeke’s plan and the Jaegerists was to distribute wine containing Zeke’s cerebrospinal fluid to soldiers, such as those guarding Zeke in the Forest of Giant Trees and other members of the military.
Ingesting Zeke’s cerebrospinal fluid meant that, under his command, the soldiers would immediately become Pure Titans. Zeke took advantage of this power to try to escape from Levi, turning all his soldiers who had drunk the wine into titans.
However, there are others, including Falco, who have ingested the wine and have not yet become titans. Niccolo says Yelena instructed him to serve the wine to high-ranking officers.
