Ubisoft has announced the appointment of Fawzi Mesmar as the company’s new editorial vice president. This has been announced by the French in a press release in which they have highlighted the professional career of this creative, until recently part of the EA DICE team, those responsible for Battlefield 2042. With 18 years of experience behind him, this designer will have weight in the editorial decisions of Ubisoft.
Based in Sweden, Fawzi will report directly to the firm’s creative director, Igor Manceau. They explain that it will work on close collaboration with the different production teams, and that its mission will be to “shape” the games and sagas of Ubisoft. At the same time, it will partner with the studios “to make sure they include diverse perspectives” that enrich the playable experience.
A new stage for Fawzi

Fawzi has contributed to the development of sagas such as Battlefield o Star Wars: Battlefront. He also held the position of design director at King, making Candy Crush one of the games he has worked on. Ubisoft, for its part, appointed Bio Jade Granger as Editorial Vice President in February 2021 and Igor Manceau as CCO in September 2021.
