A Vietnamese man infected with covid-19 pretends to be a doctor and discharges several patients admitted to a quarantine center

Authorities in the Vietnamese province of Binh Duong on Wednesday fined a man receiving treatment at a covid-19 quarantine center for posing as a doctor and telling admitted patients to go home, informs el diary Your Three.

The patient, who is receiving treatment in an isolation center in the city of Thu Dau Mot, created an account under the name ‘Dr. Long ‘on Zalo, a Vietnamese chat application, and sent a message to a group of patients admitted to the center, saying: “List of patients who will be discharged on September 5. Everyone can go home.”

He then sent a follow-up message that said, “Everyone, please pack your things neatly and meet downstairs at 8:30 AM tomorrow.”

Upon being alerted to the situation, the board of directors of the quarantine center reported the case to the local police and the provincial Department of Information and Communications. The man was fined $ 330 for impersonating other organizations and individuals, and spreading false information that “violates the legitimate rights and interests of other organizations and individuals.”
