Acciona (BME:ANNAEnergy has signed a new power purchase agreement (PPA) with Fortia, the energy management platform for large industrial consumers, for the supply of all the energy generated in six wind farms over the next 10 years.
The supply, which will amount to 254 GWh per year and will contribute to the supply of the industrial facilities of several Fortia customers, will come from six wind farms with a combined capacity of 117 MW, as indicated by both in a statement.
This will also avoid the emission of about 30,500 tons of CO2 per year.
This agreement is in addition to the one signed by Acciona Energía with Fortia last year for 1TWh, the largest renewable corporate PPA with physical delivery for the industry signed in Spain.
According to the CEO of Fortia, Juan Temboury, the current energy crisis has highlighted the need to find solutions that contribute to strengthening the role of the industry as one of the backbones of the economy and with this agreement guarantees its customers access to renewable energy at stable and competitive prices.
Javier Montes, Commercial Director of Acciona Energía, said the company remains focused on increasing supply contracts in the medium and long term and maintaining a balanced portfolio of non-regulated power generation assets.
