Administration: Configure Microsoft 365 securely

After enjoying the many great cloud features of Microsoft 365 for the first time, administrators quickly get a rude awakening: Updates keep popping up out of nowhere without any prior checking on your part. Not only do users quickly complain that the functions they need are migrating to new, i.e. unfamiliar, locations, security problems also arise again and again. Only a precise knowledge of the management tools helps against this.

The sheer volume of applications, features, tools, and functionality of Microsoft 365 makes it difficult to keep track of things. Administrators must monitor upcoming or implemented changes to their clients and – if feasible – prepare for changes on the part of Microsoft. The messages contain descriptions, time stamps for implementation and effects on the tenant. If desired, all messages can be synchronized with your own planner and tasks can be assigned to users so that they can perceive, evaluate and – if necessary – edit every change. In addition, the service status informs about current impairments of services. Companies can store e-mail addresses here that receive notifications, for example, of malfunctions.
