With the time nearing the release of Genishin Impact Version 3.4, the fans became super excited. The debut of Alhaitham had been long confirmed and this article gives you all the insight into his abilities and the release date. Read till the end to figure it out.

What is the Release date of Genshin Impact: Alhaitham?

Gamers worldwide now can take a sigh of relief, for Alhaitham has already been released last week on the 18th of January. The release was made as a part of the first banner of Genshin Impact. Interestingly, it also marks the launch of the Genshin Impact 3.4 update.

Who is Alhaitham in Genshin Impact?

If you have been a Genshin Impact player before, you must be well-versed in the name.

Alhaitham is a 5-star Dendro character and has become immensely popular among the players ever since his first appearance. The very straightforward guy doesn’t hesitate in using his sword to eliminate his enemies. For those unversed, Alhaitham has played a vital role in Sumeru’s story and is known for being relatively blunt. As a scribe, his role is to make note of all the essential documents that come out of Sumeru’s prestigious Akademiya. He wields much detailed information and knowledge about all things. But otherwise, he is also popular for lurking in the shadows while keeping a low profile.

Alhaitham’s official profile from HoYoverse may be a bit more scathing, which reads as under.

“The current scribe of Sumeru Akademiya. This title may sound very impressive, but it is really because the Akademiya has a culture of using official titles to inflate one’s ego.”

What are Alhaitham’s Attack Talents?

  • Under normal attack, Alhaitham performs up to five rapid strikes.
  • Under a charged attack, he consumes a certain amount of stamina and unleashes two rapid sword strikes.
  • When Alhaitham takes a plunging attack, he plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging the opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Alhaitham possesses an elemental skill of universality – an elaboration on the form. When he rushes forward, dealing Dendro DMG to nearby opponents. But when the rush ends, it leads to the formation of a Chisel-Light Mirror. But holding this skill causes it to behave differently. When the hold mode is activated, it enters aiming mode to adjust the direction of Alhaitham’s rush attack.

What is Chisel-Light Mirror?

One of Alhaitham’s skills is when the Chisel-Light Mirror is unleashed, Alhaitham generates one chisel-light mirror. If there are no mirrors, he generates one additional mirror. Here are the properties of Chisel-Light Mirrors.

  • When he possesses Chisel-Light Mirrors, Alhaitham’s normal, charged, and plunging attacks get converted to Dendro DMG. It cannot be overridden.
  • When these attacks hit his opponents, the Chisel-Light Mirror unleashes a projection attack, dealing AoE Dendro DMG based on the number of mirrors on the field.
  • A total of three Chisel-Light Mirrors can exist at once, and they disappear one after the other over time. All of them disappear when Alhaitham leaves the field.

Elemental Burst – Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena

Elemental burst creates a particular binding field and deals with multiple instances of AoE Dendro DMG. If Chisel-Light Mirrors exist when the ability is unleashed, all such mirrors are consumed which increases the number of damage instances. Consequently, Alhaitham generates 3/2/1/0 new Mirrors in turn, 2s after this ability is unleashed if 0/1/2/3 Mirrors were consumed.

What are Alhaitham’s Passive Talents?

Besides the above-listed skills, Alhaitham has the following passive talents.

  • Non-Combat Talent

When Alhaitham crafts Weapons Ascension Materials, there is a 10 percent chance to receive double the product.

  • Four-Causal Correction

When Alhaitham’s Charged and Plunging Attacks hit opponents, it creates 1 Chisel-Light Mirror. The effect can be triggered once every 12s.

  • Mysteries Laid Bare

Each point of Alhaitham’s elemental mastery increases the DMG dealt by Projection Attacks and Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena by 0.09 percent. The maximum DMG increase this way for both these abilities is 90 percent.

What are Alhaitham’s Constellations?

Want to know about Alhaitham’s constellations? Read below to understand.

  • Intuition

When a Projection Attack hits an opponent, Universality: An Elaboration on Form’s CD is decreased by 1s. This effect can be triggered once every 1s.

  • Debate

When Alhaitham generates a Chisel-Light Mirror, his Elemental Mastery will be increased by 50 for 8 seconds, a maximum of 4 stacks. Each stack’s duration is counted independently. This effect can be triggered even when the maximum number of Chisel-Light Mirrors has been reached.

  • Negation

It increases the level of Universality: An Elaboration on Form by 3. The maximum upgrade level remains at 15.

  • Elucidation

When Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena is unleashed, the below-listed effects get activated, based on the number of Chisel-Light Mirrors consumed and created this time around:

  1. Each Mirror consumed increases the Elemental Mastery of all the other party members by 30 for 15s.
  2. Each Mirror generated grants Alhaitham a 10 percent Dendro DMG bonus for 15s.
  3. The pre-existing duration of the above-listed effects gets cleared if you use Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena again while they are in effect.
  • Sagacity

It increases the level of Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.

  • Validity

Alhaitham gains the following effects:

  1. 2 seconds after Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena is unleashed, he will generate 3 Chisel-Light Mirrors regardless of the number of mirrors consumed.
  2. If Alhaitham generates Chisel-Light Mirrors when their numbers have already exhausted the maximum limit, his CRIT rate and CRIT DMG will increase by 10 percent and 70 percent for 5s.
  3. On the account of triggering this effect during his initial duration, the duration remaining will be increased by 5s.

Shall I Pull for Alhaitham?

It is a solid question. While this character has garnered immense hype since his introduction to the Sumeru Archon Quest, whether he is worth pulling for or not remains the biggest question of concern.

If you do not know how to use his skills correctly, Alhaitham can lead a lot of damage to your game. He can generate Chisel-Light Mirrors whenever he performs his elemental skill. While his normal attack doesn’t deal a lot of damage, he can use this quality to infuse his primary attack with Dendro DMG, thus making it a lot more powerful. To make the most of Alhaitham’s capabilities, it is vital to study his mechanics thoroughly.

Alhaitham’s base damage would not get you far without Dendro infusion. He gains a lot of elemental mastery. Since he mainly uses his elemental power, it would be wise to focus on that in his build, but he also goes great with CRIT or ATK%. Lastly, he works great with f2p weapons. Although his signature weapon is the five-star Light of Foliar Sanction, low-budget weapons such as Harbinger of Dawn, Demon Umbrella, or Iron Sting also work pretty well on him.

In conclusion, it would be fair to say that Alhaitham doesn’t make the perfect pick for everyone as his skill set is quite complex and demands a bit of practice to master. However, if you are motivated to learn how to make good use of his abilities and do not get scared by some little challenges the game throws at you, this character would prove a powerful addition to your party.
