The Coronavirus pandemic has been the toughest rival for various film and television productions, and those who have it very clear are the members of the team of The Witcher, streaming service series Netflix. After more than a year of filming, between positive cases, restrictions in England and an injury to its protagonist, Henry Cavill, they are ready to premiere their second season. That is why we must be attentive to the WitcherCon, where we will know the great news.
So far we had two small previews, which didn’t really tell us much: the first came in Geeked Week, with a teaser from Ciri, although it wasn’t what fans were expecting at all; while the second arrived a few days ago with a new look at Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. To learn more, fans should follow the next virtual event, in a union between Netflix and CD Projekt RED STUDIO.
The WitcherCon you can see the July 9 on the YouTube and Twitch channels of both Netlix and CD Projekt RED STUDIO, where there will be two broadcasts so that fans can see it at different times, if they could not do it in the first instance. In what has to do only with the program, we will have a conversation with Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Mimi M. Khayisa, Paul Bullion y Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who will answer questions from the public and share anecdotes from the recordings of the second installment.
In the next presentation we will have the actresses Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan, interpreters of Yennefer de Vengerberg and Princess Cirilla. There they will be talking about the challenges of the first season, their evolution, what their characters have experienced so far and they will advance details of the second installment.
By way of entertainment for the spectators, We will also have a challenge between the minds behind the video game and the television show, where they will be put to the test to demonstrate their knowledge of the wide universe of The Witcher. Of course, for the best we will have to wait until the end and we imagine that you already know what it is about.
The presentation that will close the event will be Henry Cavill, who plays Geralt of Rivia, who will sit at the table with moderator Josh Horowitz “to engage in a deep conversation about fantasy, fate and the wider universe of The Witcher”says the WitcherCon website. At the end they close with the following sentence: “Maybe even the White Wolf has a couple of surprises in store up his sleeve …”, something that makes you imagine that we will have a trailer or release date.
