All airlines owned by International Airlines Consolidated Group will end this year with profits, CEO Luis Gallego said on Wednesday.

IAG (BME: ICAG ), which owns British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and Aer Lingus, among others, had previously said it expected to return to profit as a whole after a two-year crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, without give details about the individual airlines.

“We anticipate that all the group’s airlines will return to profit this year,” Gallego said at an event in Madrid organized by the newspaper El Economista.

After travel restrictions due to the pandemic put the airline sector in check in 2020 and 2021, this year there has been a strong recovery in travel, which has led many airlines to make profits.
