Amber Heard, the actress who lost a libel suit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp last December, has been out of the media spotlight ever since. But according to an article in the DailyMail, Heard has been living in Madrid, Spain with her two-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige.
A friend of the Aquaman actress told the newspaper that Heard is happy raising her daughter away from the Hollywood noise. “She is bilingual and speaks perfectly Spanish,” the friend added. “I don’t think she’s in a rush to get back to work or Hollywood, but she’ll probably be back when the time is right for the right project.”
Heard sold her home in Yucca Valley, California in July 2020 for almost double what she paid for it, and has spent a lot of time in Spain since then. Last October, she was spotted on the beaches of Palma de Mallorca with her partner, writer Eve Barlow.
It’s unclear if Heard and Barlow are still together, as Barlow reportedly still resides in Los Angeles. Without any projects in sight, Heard has not been in front of a camera since filming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in 2021 and a low-budget thriller, In The Fire, last spring.
Johnny Depp, on the other hand, recently enjoyed a vacation on his island, Little Parrot Cay, in the Bahamas with Sandra, the widow of his friend Jeff Beck, and Wendy, the mother of singer Joss Stone. Depp will be performing at a Jeff Beck benefit on May 23 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and later this summer he will be directing a film about the artist Modigliani. He will also be going on tour with his band, The Hollywood Vampires.
