Amy Schumer , the writer, actress and comedian known for her outspokenness, has just opened up about her experience with liposuction. The ‘Life and Beth’ star revealed in January that she had undergone liposuction to restore her figure after a difficult pregnancy and delivery (documented on the HBO Max series ‘Expecting Amy’) and a battle with endometriosis. Beneath a photo of herself beaming on the beach, Schumer wrote: “I never thought you’d do anything other than talk to me after your uterus doesn’t contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40.”

Now he’s back to being honest about the experience and saying what other celebrities and influencers (for their own personal reasons) might not say: “Everyone on camera does this shit, I just wanted to be realistic about it,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s not about the need to be slamming, because I’ve never been famous for being hot, but it had gotten to a point where I was tired of looking at myself in the mirror.” She also mentioned that traditional weight loss methods like ‘grilled chicken and walking’ were not having an effect on her postpartum body. And she doesn’t regret it.

A year ago , Amy Schumer shared a photo of her C-section scar in a post that was flooded with comments from other moms who loved her positive relationship with her changing body. Liposuction, it seems, is another procedure that Schumer has decided to embrace rather than hide. She has also been open about her journey with the fillers and why she eventually disbanded them.

In addition to her new Hulu dramedy, Schumer has another exciting project on the horizon: She’ll co-host the Oscars alongside Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall. ‘Good morning America. I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea, but I’m hosting the Oscars along with my good friends Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall, she said in a video announcement in February. ‘I’d Better Go See Some Movies’: See all the Oscar-nominated movies here.
