Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a mass phenomenon with more than 33 million followers

It was on July 27 when Nintendo announced its plans with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. A timid update with new seasonal items was accompanied by a hopeful message to players: “Aside from these updates, more free Animal Crossing: New Horizons content is in development for this year. We will share more information in the future, so stay tuned. Thank you for your support and your patience ”, they said.

The anticipation around the game and the possible future news have been one of the recurring topics of conversation by the gaming community, which since last year 2020 speculated with the arrival of the Figaro cafeteria or the museum’s art gallery . With more than 33.89 million units sold as of June 30, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the best-selling title in the series and the second most successful video game on Nintendo Switch; only behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
