Ukraine’s 2022 grain harvest could total 54.1-55.7 million tonnes, up from an earlier projection of 52.5-55.4 million. tons, analyst APK-Inform said on Saturday.
The figures compare with a record 86 million tonnes in the previous cycle, as the Russian invasion has reduced the acreage harvested, the company said.
The consultancy said in a report that the harvest could include 19 million tons of wheat , 30 million tons of corn and 5.5 million tons of barley.
According to the consultancy, a smaller harvest and logistical difficulties could reduce exports from July to June of the 2022/23 cycle to between 22.6 and 38.8 million tons.
