Armie Hammer to Share Custody of Children with Elizabeth Chambers
Actor Armie Hammer and his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers have reached an agreement on the custody of their two children, aged eight and six. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Hammer will have both legal and physical custody, and will pay $1,500 in child support. Both parties have given up on requesting spousal support, as it seems that Hammer currently does not have any income.
Zero Sweets Policy
Interestingly, the former couple has also negotiated an unusual agreement regarding their children’s consumption of sweets. They have agreed that it is not in the best interest of the children to constantly receive sweets during each parent’s custody, and have agreed to refrain from giving them sweets during visits.
Social Media and Relationship Guidelines
One of the initial points of disagreement was the publication of photos of their children on social media. Hammer initially wanted to ban the children from appearing on social media, but they have now agreed that discreet and appropriate sharing of images may be allowed.
Furthermore, Chambers has agreed that she will not introduce their partners to their children unless the relationship has been “exclusive” and maintained for at least six months.
Parenting Counseling and No Negative Comments
Both parties have agreed to continue participating in parenting counseling sessions when necessary. They have also pledged to not allow anyone, including family members, friends, or any third party, to make negative or disparaging comments about the other party in the presence or within earshot of the children. Any person who does so will be immediately removed from the children’s lives.
Background
Elizabeth Chambers filed for dissolution of their ten-year marriage on July 10, 2020, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause. This came a few weeks after the Los Angeles County District Attorney announced that Hammer would not be charged over allegations of sexual assault made against him by one of his former partners.
