As won, so melted away: Maker builds Banksy shredders, only with money

How can the status of your own portfolio be impressively visualized, asked the maker and YouTuber Luis Marx. Curves and graphics are great, but also abstract. Therefore Luis developed one from the artist Banksy and his Action of self-destructive image inspired frame that fills with the status of the portfolio with money and shreds the notes immediately if they are lost.

If you don’t know Luis Marx yet, you should check out your accounts TikTok, Youtube, Thingiverse or Twitter look around. Luis is always funny, has the best microphone holders and in between times one or the other tip pops up, especially when he explains his CAD designs. This happens more in the (still few) YouTube videos, as there is more time available here than with TikTok, which apparently works better.

The money shredder frame is set up in the YouTube video and you can certainly learn something here – especially that it doesn’t always have to be a large workshop, but a balcony and a kitchen table are sufficient. Woodwork, painting, technology with shredder, Arduino and Raspi. The “donor” is created using 3D printing. Classic making. And then the code :).

The only thing left open is whether it is real money or whether the shredded paper is just as insubstantial as that fairy dustblowing through the stock exchanges.
