Dawn of Ragnarök, the most epic expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök (Dawn of Ragnarök) is the third expansion of the video game and the largest and most ambitious yet. It is a new experience that has a approximate duration of 35-40 hours and that offers a radical change of scenery with respect to what was offered in The Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris.
WARNING: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla SPOILERS.
In the Dawn of Ragnarök expansion we will follow Eivor on his way to fulfill his destiny as Odin, the father of all Norse gods, of battle and wisdom. Mythology takes on a much more relevant role in Valhalla due to the Viking culture and with this expansion this importance will increase. It continues a plot that started in the base game when we visited Asgard y Jotunheim like Odin.
This time it will not be a couple of small maps, but a new land that recreates the dwarf kingdom of Svartalfheima (invaded), It is about half the size of England and will include everything from new enemies to mechanics never seen before in the franchise.
Odin (Eivor) will have to embark on an odyssey in Dawn of Ragnarök to rescape your son, Baldr. He will have to use all his wits, cunning, and power to infiltrate hostile territory, gain the trust of the dwarves, and exact revenge on Baldr’s captors.
The invasion in Svartalfheim he has forced the dwarves into exile and they have hidden in secret havens. One of Odin’s tasks will be to find them and help them regain their land. The invaders are old acquaintances: the Jotnars Y Mussels, giants of ice that we already met in Jotunheim and warriors the kingdom of Muspelheim (the kingdom of fire) respectively. The Jotnars will keep their archetypes and the Muspelheim will add new ones such as a “Guardian of the Flame” that raises the dead or “The Fury of Surtr” that will pounce on Odin and explode.
Broadly speaking, the plot of this expansion is the same as many others involving heroes: get strong helping your allies until you get enough power to face the final bosses. During this process, we will be able to specialize our style of play more and this time Ubisoft warns that direct conflict will not always be the best option. Also, new divine powers will be included that are not limited by the mortal world. An example is the brazalete Hugr-Rip, work of the dwarves, that allows to absorb the power of the fallen enemies. The trailer shows others how to transform into a crow to move quickly and do executions.
Last but not least, The expansion also includes the challenges of the Valkyries, which will allow us to obtain new rewards depending on the difficulty we choose.
And when will Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök be released? March 10, 2022 as part of Year 2. This is everything Ubisoft revealed to us about the future of their video game.
