At least 19 dead after an L-410 plane crashed in Russia with members of a skydiving club on board

A twin-engine Let L-410 Turbolet plane crashed ashore this Sunday in the Russian republic of Tatarstan, they report local media.

It is detailed that 20 members of a local skydiving club were traveling aboard the aircraft along with 2 members of the crew.

The incident, which was confirmed by the Russian Emergency Ministry, left 19 dead and 3 injured.

According to preliminary reports, the plane crashed near the city of Menselinsk.

Moments earlier it was reported that the aircraft had disappeared from radars.

Firefighting and rescue teams are already working at the site.
