This was the rumour of recent months, it is now confirmed: part 2 of season 4 of Attack on the Titan will not mark the conclusion of the adventures of Eren, Mikasa, Erin & co. MAPPA has just announced, that the end of the anime adapted from the manga of Hajime Isayama will be staged in part 3, whose release date is already known.
You had trouble seeing how the creators of the anime Attack on the Titan would manage to conclude the story imagined by Hajime Isayama during episode 12 of season 4, presented as the last of the series? So we have good news to tell you: they are not going to do it.
Part 3 for Season 4 of Attack on the Titan
Rather than botch the end of the work in a single episode, the MAPPA studio simply made the decision to add part 3 to this season 4. A decision that was expected by all the fans (rumours on the other hand gave hope for a film) and which appears to be the most logical.
After all, in this part 2, the team of Shingeki no Kyojin had indeed set about adapting a single chapter per episode, even if it meant sometimes offering us passages as soft as useless, a formula once again repeated this Sunday, April 3, 2022, during this false finale entitled “The Dawn of Humanity“. Also, as fans of the manga know, this means that there are still 9 new chapters (+ a mini epilogue) in stock waiting to land on our screens.
For now, we do not yet know how many episodes will be planned this time (will they stretch the plot further to reach the ten?), but we already know one thing: we will have to be patient to discover the end. The reason? No specific date has been announced, but it has nevertheless been specified that the broadcast will not be done before… 2023
