Bard: Google’s chat alternative to ChatGPT

Google’s New AI, Bard

Generative AIs are becoming quite popular among those who work with them or even play around with them. While many use them for personal reasons, it’s important to keep in mind that they will eventually be used commercially.

What is Bard?

Bard is Google’s newest AI technology that aims to outperform the current popular ChatGPT. ChatGPT is quite well-known and has the ability to do a variety of things like answer questions, act as a private teacher, or even a virtual tour guide. However, Google is determined to make Bard even better.

How Does Bard Work?

Bard relies on PaLM 2, a mathematical and logical system that helps process the search and writing tasks based on the parameters set by the user. While this may sound similar to OpenAI’s system, it should be noted that Bard’s database is much larger and more up-to-date compared to ChatGPT.

Bard’s Office Suite Abilities

Beyond answering questions and writing text, Bard is also capable of helping users in their creative work. It can generate images that do not exist in real life and give users multiple options to choose from. Additionally, Bard’s Gemini technology ensures that the AI-generated images are properly classified.

When Will Bard Be Available?

While Bard is already available for use, it is not yet available in Spanish. Google has opened testing in the US and UK, but if you have a VPN, you can access the software from these two English-speaking countries even if you are based in Spain. If not, you can sign up for the waiting list until Bard is officially available in your language. In the meantime, ChatGPT can still be used but with potentially slower response times.
