Over the weekend, Bella Thorne sparked a social media frenzy by flaunting her figure in a tiny Hello Kitty knit bikini, similar to the one worn by fellow musician Dua Lipa on her trip to Jamaica recently. The 25-year-old actress and social media star shared numerous photos of herself posing in the swimsuit that exposed almost all of her body, leaving little to the imagination.
“I’m melting. Should I wear this for the festival today?” Thorne captioned one of the photos. Fans responded positively, leading to millions of likes and shares. Thorne attended the Coachella Festival in Indio, California along with many other stars, but spent some downtime lounging poolside in her viral bikini.
Thorne’s past experiences with sexualization during her teenage years has shaped her current stance on the issue. She revealed in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that she was once asked to sign a picture of her adolescent self in “provocative” poses, but declined due to it being inappropriate. Thorne acknowledges that she was sexualized at a young age and now advocates for the appropriate representation of women.
Furthermore, Thorne identifies as pansexual, which means she is not limited in her sexuality by gender. In a promotion for her autobiography, Thorne stated that she is attracted to personalities, rather than gender, and does not identify as either a woman or a man. Before her engagement with Benjamin Mascolo, Thorne was in a polyamorous relationship with singer Mod Sun and YouTuber Tana Mongeau.
In addition to her successful acting and music career, Thorne is also expanding her brand with her own jewelry line, Thorne Dynasty. She has already modeled some of her unique rings and necklaces on social media, proving that she is a multi-talented force to be reckoned with.
