The EA Play Live 2021 event is a new hope for the company’s fans after a very decaf E3 2021. However, we have some bad news for BioWare fans: The company has announced that it does not plan to show any of its games, including the upcoming Mass Effect and Dragon Age 4, at EA Play Live 2021.
BioWare shared the news on Twitter, saying they are working hard on the video games we’ve cited and that fans will have to wait a little longer to see them again.
We’re hard at work creating the next @dragonage and @masseffect games and have some exciting stuff coming to @SWTOR this year. While we won’t be showing anything at EA Play Live, be sure to check out our SWTOR Livestream at 12PM PT today for info on what’s to come!

“We are hard at work creating the next @dragonage and @masseffect games and we have some exciting things coming to @SWTOR this year. “wrote Bioware.
The BioWare message seems to make it clear that they have nothing to show for it. However, the recent announcement of the EA Play Live Spotlight, a series of pre-EA Play Live 2021 events, could be an ideal opportunity to present news from both titles. Fans remain hopeful: They have said that they would not show anything on EA Play Live, but they have not mentioned the Spotlight.
If you want to know more about the EA Play Live Spotlight events, you can take a look at our dedicated post, where we detail the schedules and the presentations that will take place. In summary: There will be four panels distributed throughout the month of July:
- The future of first person shooters
- EA <3s Independent Studios
- Madden NFL 22 All-Access: Scouting
- More EA SPORTS!
The new Mass Effect was officially revealed during The Game Awards 2020 through a short teaser trailer. We also saw Dragon Age 4.
