After the death of Chadwick Boseman on August 28, 2020, fans of the Marvel Avengers wondered if the “Black Panther 2” project would fall. Let’s remember that the tape was announced at Comic Con that year and it would be one of the producer’s big bets for phase 4.
Despite this, Marvel continued with the project with the actors from the first installment: Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira. It is not yet known what he has planned for the second film or who will be the one to replace Boseman.
Recently, it was reported that Letitia Wright returned to filming “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” after finishing her recovery from an injury that halted all production.
The BBC reports that the actress is fully recovered and is already in the UK to record her scenes. Marvel would have recorded all the other scenes in which she was not involved and finished the photography session.
She is expected to take the lead role in the film. Nate Moore testified for the medium ComicBook that it was quite a challenge to work on a story without Boseman: “I think this movie has a different kind of pressure, obviously, with the loss of Chadwick, which was unexpected and narratively unprecedented, to figure out how to deal with that.”
