Black Widow could have its own series without Scarlett Johansson

Will there be more Black Widow for fans? The movie premiere of Marvel Cause a sensation since July 9 and fans already miss Scarlett Johansson in his iconic role. While it is confirmed that the actress will not return to her character, what can be extended is the universe of the film because there is a project to make a derivative series. What is it about?

On its first opening weekend, BW broke record at the box office in the United States and Canada for times of pandemic because it raised 80 million dollars. The numbers were limited internationally because China has not yet approved their broadcast. Despite this inconvenience, the film is already a success.

Faced with such repercussions, Marvel does not rule out delving into its characters to create programs about them as happened with WandaVision, The Flacon and The Winter Soldier o Loki. Although several figures stood out in Black Widow, the one indicated by the franchise is one: Red Guardian.

In an interview with The Wrap, director Cate Shortland confessed that audiences are asking her for more about the character of David Harbor. “People want to see more of this character, I’d love to give people more. And I’m also glad he’s alive at the end of the movie.”, said the filmmaker and stated that there is a lot of unpublished material, so it should have its own story.

In the same vein, the 46-year-old actor spoke to The Guardian and confessed his conversations with the director about it: “Cate Shortland and I speculate a lot about where the Red Guardian is and what’s wrong with it. There were fun ideas, but I didn’t ask Kevin Feige about it. I’ll do it later.”.
