The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) announced on Tuesday the first two cases of the omicron variant of Covid-19 in Brazil.

It is about a couple who had arrived in recent days from South Africa and who tested positive when they were preparing to return to that country. At the same time, they are the first two cases of the new mutation of the virus that are reported in Latin America.
