Luanne Murta Jardim dos Santos Martins, a young Brazilian influencer who gained fame for her impressive physical transformation, has tragically passed away at only 30 years old. Reports confirm that she was shot dead in front of her 2-year-old son and husband during a robbery in the north of Rio de Janeiro.
According to sources, a group of subjects surrounded the car in which Luanne was traveling with her family and shot her in the shoulder, with the bullet lodging in her heart. Despite efforts to save her, Luanne passed away at Salgado Filho municipal hospital.
In a heartbreaking message shared by her family, they write, “Our beloved star Luanne passed away to shine brighter. She is in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. On behalf of the whole family, we thank you for all the messages of love that we are receiving And we know that Lu is also receiving all this love.”
Luanne was widely known on social media for her inspiring weight loss journey. On Instagram, she had over 366,000 followers and frequently promoted products to help others achieve similar results.
The victim’s father suspects that there may have been foul play involved, as someone had been following his daughter prior to the attack. The Rio police are currently conducting investigations into the incident classified as an attempted robbery.
Luanne’s funeral will be held on Wednesday in Rio, as her family and fans mourn the loss of this young woman who had so much potential and so much to give to the world. Rest in peace, Luanne Murta Jardim dos Santos Martins.
