Lisa Marie Presley’s Cause of Death Revealed
Lisa Marie Presley, the singer, songwriter, and heir to Elvis Presley, passed away at the age of 54 in January of this year. Authorities have now reported that her death was due to complications from bariatric surgery that she had undergone several years ago.
The autopsy conducted by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Presley’s death was caused by natural factors resulting from a small intestinal obstruction. This complication is known to be common among patients who have undergone bariatric surgery, a procedure often performed when other weight loss methods have failed or when there are serious health concerns.
Presley was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after paramedics responded to a 911 emergency call reporting cardiac arrest at her residence. At the time, the cause of her medical problem was not revealed. However, the autopsy report mentioned that she had been experiencing stomach pain throughout the day.
On January 22, Presley was laid to rest during a funeral at Graceland. She is survived by her three daughters: actress Riley Keough, who is 34 years old, and the 15-year-old twins Harper and Finley Lockwood. Sadly, her son Benjamin Keough passed away in 2020.
