Brendan Langley, a wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders and former player for the NFL’s Denver Broncos, was arrested and charged with simple assault after he got into a fight with a United Airlines employee at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.
The fight was recorded on video and went viral on social media. In the images you can see how the player hits the employee on several occasions, then seems to calm down, at which time the other man takes the opportunity to slap the open receiver, which provoked the anger of the player.
After receiving the slap, the exbronco made sure that those present saw that he was not the one who had started and given two accurate punches to the United Airlines employee, who fell on his back on the counter of the company and ended up with a wound on the forehead.
The man got up and faced the player again, however, that’s where the fight ended. Brendan Langley was taken into custody and the employee did not face charges.
The former NFL player was selected third-round by the Denver Broncos in 2017. During his time with the Broncos, Langley was involved in a fight between Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree in a game between the Broncos and Oakland Raiders.
