Digital proof of vaccination from the pharmacy
Anyone who is completely vaccinated against the corona virus can be happy. From next Monday, when they present the yellow vaccination book in selected pharmacies, they will receive a secure and legally binding digital vaccination certificate on their smartphone. Vaccinated citizens should be able to use the mein-apothekenmanager.de web portal to find out which pharmacy can issue the internationally valid German digital vaccination certificate CovPass. The Corona warning app also has a function to enter the vaccination status. It can be found directly on the start screen, where you can “add a vaccination certificate” – which is done using a QR code. For both apps, the yellow vaccination certificate is also valid to show your vaccination status.
Economic recovery boosts German exports
Germany’s exporters are benefiting from the global economic recovery after the first year of the corona crisis. In April they delivered goods worth around 112 billion euros abroad. That was almost 50 percent more than in the weak April 2020, as the Federal Statistical Office announced. At the time, foreign trade had collapsed as a result of border closings and restrictions to combat the first wave of the pandemic. However, the good mood in the German export industry suffered a slight damper in May. The export expectations of the industry surveyed by the Ifo Institute fell to 23.0 points after 23.9 points in April.

Billion package for technology funding in the USA
The US Senate has approved a package of laws to secure the US’s ability to compete with China in the field of technology. The research and development funding required for this involves spending around 250 billion US dollars. 54 billion dollars of this alone should flow into the development and production of semiconductors and telecommunications in order to be able to counteract the ongoing shortage of semiconductors in the long term.
iCloud against backup problems
With the introduction of iOS 15, Apple will be less stingy when it comes to allocating iCloud storage – at least in the context of a certain application. As the company announced, it will be possible in the future to create complete iPhone backups even if there is actually not enough space in iCloud – for example, if the paid package has been used up or if you use the much too scarce free version with 5 GB. According to Apple, this only applies if you want to set up a new device.
