Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion announced on Tuesday that they have signed Ecuador international Pervis Estupiñán from Spanish side Villarreal.
The 24-year-old defender signed a five-year deal with Brighton, subject to international clearance. The club did not disclose the financial details of the deal.
“We’re excited about what Pervis brings us and he fills a position that we’ve been looking to add variation to,” said head coach Graham Potter.
The Ecuadorian international played a total of 74 games with the “Yellow Submarine” since his arrival at the team in 2020. In his first season with the team, he became champion of the Europa League.
