Broadband tariffs in 2021 in comparison: Internet for very little money

Cheap internet connections for less than 30 euros a month are hardly noticed in advertising. The motto there is always better, faster and faster, and of course that always means more expensive. Although the prices for the connections have been stable for years, customers are booking ever higher data rates and thus the revenues of the broadband providers are also increasing.

Sometimes the cheapest offers are actually hidden. For example, if you call up the current DSL tariffs at Telekom, the cheapest option is the “MagentaZuhause S” tariff for 34.95 euros per month. The “MagentaZuhause Start” savings option, which is at least 10 euros per month, is only found if you explicitly look for it.

Not every household needs optimally fast internet by a long way. Slow connections around 16 Mbit / s are sufficient for almost every application, even if you naturally compromise and forego convenience. Whoever turns every penny can live with the fact that the loading of data sometimes takes a little longer, that the video from the media library only starts after a few seconds and that the streamed picture in the video conference sometimes tumbles a bit. That saves you money every month.
