Canada will only allow new emission-free cars from 2035

Canada will only allow zero-emission cars and light commercial vehicles from 2025. It is bringing the target previously set for 2040 forward by five years. In order to facilitate the transition to pollution-free cars, the Canadian government says it is giving incentives to buy and is investing in the charging infrastructure.

This step is intended to help Canada’s economy become climate neutral by 2050, (anw)
