Taiwan’s video game regulator, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee, has classified Castlevania Advance Collection in its database for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. This same compilation already appeared last June in the Australian regulatory body and, a few days later, in the Korean equivalent. However, this is the first time that it appears with console versions. Far from being speculation, the official announcement of this video game by Konami is a matter of time.

- Why was Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow released on the Game Boy Advance?
We are talking about a collection that will presumably include the celebrated three Game Boy Advance installments: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (2001), Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (2002) and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (2003). No absences are expected considering that it is a collection; but this detail we will not be able to know until it is formally announced. In the past there have been incomplete collections for different reasons or circumstances.
The studio responsible for development is M2, which have already been ordered in the past from other collections of classic titles of the company such as Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Contra Anniversary Collection. The aforementioned compilation, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, brought with it Castlevania, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Castlevania II Belmont’s Revenge, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania Bloodlines, Kid Dracula, Castlevania the Adventure and Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest. This compilation of Game Boy Advance will make it possible for those absences to be redeemed in a new package with an unmistakable stamp of the Nintendo laptop.
Castlevania and Game Boy Advance, a particular courtship
The impact of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon in its day was very great. In 2001, receiving a title of such quality and characteristics was very surprising. Despite its influence, its history is marked by Konami’s decision to leave it out of the main timeline, so that it remains a standalone title. Today, with the possibility of easily incorporating backlit screens to a Game Boy Advance (or running it through backward compatibility on Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite), the main problem that it had at its premiere is solved: the brightness scale of the original Game Boy model Advance.
This compilation can bring out, never better said, the quality of three video games to remember.
