CBS has announced its revamped fall schedule, featuring the broadcast premiere of the hit series Yellowstone and the original UK version of Ghosts. The network had initially announced a fall lineup in May, but due to the ongoing writers and actors strikes, changes were necessary.
The new schedule includes reruns of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, which will air on Sunday nights in 90-minute episodes. The show, which is currently streaming on Peacock, will give viewers a chance to catch up on the drama before its fifth and final season.
CBS will also continue to air the hit comedy Ghosts, with repeats on Thursdays following Young Sheldon. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to watch the original British version of Ghosts on Thursday nights.
To bolster its lineup, CBS will also feature two Paramount+ shows. SEAL Team, a former CBS drama, will return in reruns on Thursday nights. The Paramount+ series FBI True will make its network debut on Tuesdays, preceding reruns of FBI.
In addition to these shows, CBS has added three new competition series to its lineup. Buddy Games, hosted by Josh Duhamel, will feature six teams of friends competing in nostalgic summer camp adventure games. Lotería Loca, based on the Latin game of chance Lotería, will air on Monday nights. And Raid the Cage, an adventure game show where two teams vie for prizes in a cage, will debut on Friday nights after The Price Is Right at Night.
The revised fall schedule also includes the return of reality shows Survivor and The Amazing Race, which will air on Wednesdays in 90-minute episodes. Other shows on the schedule include Big Brother, The Challenge: USA, and Blue Bloods Classics.
CBS is taking a unique approach by incorporating streaming originals into its linear schedule. The decision to air shows like Yellowstone and SEAL Team on the network is aimed at engaging the audience and driving awareness for Paramount+ originals.
Overall, CBS is offering a diverse lineup of dramas, comedies, and reality shows to keep viewers entertained this fall. With the addition of popular series like Yellowstone and Ghosts, the network is sure to attract a wide range of viewers.
