Ana Gabriel presented the Living Legend award to Emilia, who expressed her gratitude to her mother for giving birth to her and her fans for their unwavering support.
The moment everyone was waiting for came towards the end of the night when Shakira took the stage to receive the Woman of the Year Award. She did not perform, but delivered a heartwarming speech that celebrated the power of women, and their unique ability to love and express themselves.
The inaugural Latin Women in Music event was created to spotlight the remarkable achievements of women in the Latin music industry. By honoring these women, both Billboard and Telemundo hope to further elevate Latin music globally and inspire future generations to make their mark on the music industry.
