The next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the animated series What If…?, has fans of the brand excited about the different stories that will articulate a different participation of the heroes with alternative versions of the characters that we know so well. In that sense, you will be able to “see” for the last time Chadwick Boseman acting as Black Panther.
What we knew is that an episode of What If…? by Disney+ I was going to show how Yondu and the Ravagers take T’Challa of the Earth and finally the hero becomes Star-Lord instead of Peter Quill. The information says that Boseman participated in more than one episode. Attentive!
Chadwick Boseman and his participation in “What If …?”
Taking advantage of an interview, the producer of What If…?, Brad Winderbaum, confirmed that Boseman will appear in four episodes of the animated series. Everything indicates that the character will experience many alternative scenarios throughout the program. Perhaps it will serve as a farewell to an actor who gave his best in his role as T’Challa, while suffering from a disease that would end his life prematurely.
Winderbaum stated: “He plays different versions of the character. I wouldn’t say there were drastic modifications. We wanted to honor his performance and desire to be part of the project. In retrospect, he participated knowing what we all know now. There are things within the context of his passing, such as the music, where Lauren Karpman achieved a special sound for the series and her approach to T’Challa it’s lovely”.
What If…? Gain importance and interest with the events revealed at the end of the series Loki, where the natural time line of the MCU it was divided and the multiverse was born. In this way, the stories presented in the animated series can have great impact. The program will premiere on August 11 by Disney+.
