President Joe Biden, meeting with his top military advisers, said on Wednesday that the United States does not seek conflict with China and that Chinese President Xi Jinping knows this.
Biden maintained that the United States will continue to lead on a range of issues, from Russia’s aggression in Ukraine to climate change and the Indo-Pacific region.
“We are not looking for a conflict with them,” he said, referring to Beijing.
