Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer has been winning the hearts of people across the world. Starring Cillian Murphy in the lead role, Oppenheimer has done a solid business in India but struggles to mint numbers in the global market. Talking about the actor’s performance, Cillian Murphy indeed got into the skin of the character for the Christopher Nolan film. In fact, he is now expected to play the supervillain in the upcoming MCU film.

Recently, Cillian Murphy opened up about his upcoming projects. During a podcast interview, the Oppenheimer star addressed the rumours of him doing a MCU film, in which he will be seen playing the role of a supervillain.

For the unversed, a report surfaced on the internet stating that Cillian Murphy might join the Marvel Cinematic Universe to play supervillain Doctor Doom in the upcoming film. When asked if he would like to play the character, Cillian Murphy said that everything depends on the script. Moreover, the actor also said that he is open to the opportunity if the script is exciting for him.

Let us tell you, Cillian Murphy has played the antagonist Scarecrow, aka Dr Jonathan Crane, in The Dark Knight Trilogy. Batman Begins marked his first collaboration with Nolan. Hence, fans are eager to see him again in his villainous avatar. However, there is no official confirmation about the same.
