ACS advances in Australia. Your subsidiary in the country, etching, the extension of a contract to operate the mine has been awarded Mount Pleasant from New South Wales, in Australia, for a total amount of 920 million Australian dollars, the equivalent of 580 million euros at current exchange rates.
The ACS subsidiary in Australia, which has won this contract through its subsidiary Thiess, in which it controls 50% of the capital together with the Elliot fund, already reported last July that it was a finalist in the process award.
The project would start from April 2022 for a period of four and a half years, in which it will provide full-scope mining services that iinclude drilling and blasting, cargo and transportation, mining and mine execution remanipulation services, equipment maintenance and rehabilitation.
Thiess has already been present in Mount Pleasant since 2017, when it began operating as a new mine, applying development and mining operations in accordance with the required environmental and safety standards.

World leader in international portfolio
Australia is one of the main markets for ACS, after the United States, which has become the main source of income for the construction company chaired by Florentino Pérez and where it has the largest portfolio of works over the total, 43%.
The signing of this new contract consolidates ACS as the world leader in international works portfolio, that is, outside its country of origin, ahead of the Chinese and French giants.
