Cobra Kai Season 5 Release Date and Everything You Need to Know

Cobra Kai Season 5

Cobra Kai is one of our favorite series on Netflix. This mix of nostalgia, rooted in the Karate Kid movies, gives an angle to those of us who remember the originals while entertaining newcomers to the characters.

With Cobra Kai Season 4 over, we now have the details of Season 5 – and here’s everything you need to know.

Cobra Kai Season 5 Release Date

Season 5 of Cobra Kai will be available on September 9. It will be streamed on Netflix and, as with previous seasons, we expect all episodes to be available from that date.

This is earlier than expected since the series was to be broadcast around the New Year. This has not been confirmed, but we expect there to be 10 episodes.

What happens in season 5 of Cobra Kai?

This is something we’ve heard less about and if you haven’t watched Season 4, there are spoilers below, so go read something else instead.

Season 4 ends in dramatic style: Cobra Kai wins the 51st annual karate championship of the entire valley and it was more than just a tournament – there was an agreement for the losing dojo to close. Add to that the fact that John Kreese is trapped by Terry Silver and arrested at the end of Season 4 – and the groundwork has been laid for a new direction of the story.

Miguel leaves the city at the end of season 4 to find his roots and Johnny and Robby go in search of him in Mexico, while Danny LaRusso has vowed to defeat Cobra Kai. What we do know is that Chozen seems to have a much bigger role in the fight against Terry Silver.
