Crude oil futures rose during the Asian session

Crude oil futures were higher during the Asian session on Friday.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil futures for October delivery were trading at US$88.03 a barrel. At the time of writing this report they are up 1.64%.

It reached an early session high for dollars a barrel. Crude is likely to find support at 86.00 and resistance at 97.66.

Dollar Index Futures, which reports the performance of the US dollar against a group of six other major currencies, fell 0.10% to trade at $109.57.

On the other hand, at ICE, El brentfor delivery in November rose 1.47% to trade at 93.72 dollars a barrel while the spread between the contracts for Brent and crude oil remains above 5.69 dollars a barrel.
