c't photography competition "Flower Power": These are the winners

Flowers and blossoms were the focus of our “Flower Power” photo competition. The works submitted show a wide range of still lifes, atmospheric wildflower photos and creative effects.

The photographers were particularly enthusiastic about the poppies this summer. Six places in the top ten show the red-headed beauties in different variations. Radonart made it to first place with an almost mystical shot of the red poppy in front of dark clouds. Second place was taken by dave-derbis with his picture “Spring Garden”, which shows poppies in the cornfield in front of a warm-toned sunset. In third place with the appropriate title “Hidden in the Field”, two red poppies shine towards the viewer, which seem to be in a tunnel made of ears of corn.

On the other places of the photo competition of c’t Photography you can discover checkerboard flowers, borage and gerberas. Our photographers and the evaluating gallery members attached particular importance to pleasant lighting moods and exciting backgrounds – including sparkling bokeh and fine blurring. The tenth place shows a still life. The flowers appear to be taken in front of a light box, which makes the delicate blossoms look particularly delicate. You can find an overview of the ten best-placed articles in the gallery below and in the 06/21 issue of c’t Fotografie.
