Dark Souls 3 now works at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X / S thanks to FPS Boost

And no, it is not a remastering, but one of the games that benefits from backward compatibility designed by Microsoft. FPS Boost revitalizes the performance of old video games, so those that receive this treatment improve their framerate. In the case of this title, players will be able to enjoy 60 FPS.

The funny thing is that Redmond have used a new technique to make this option a reality, as Jason Ronald of Xbox has pointed out: “We listened to you! The team is delighted to bring FPS Boost to Dark Souls 3. This has required a completely new technique, unique to Dark Souls 3, to activate 60 FPS on Xbox Series X / S. Many thanks to our partners at From Software and Bandai Namco for their collaboration and support, ”he said on Twitter.

Dark Souls 3 has joined a group of almost a hundred video games that have been improved thanks to Xbox backward compatibility. Any user who has a physical (X Series only) or digital copy of these titles will be able to automatically enjoy the enhancements as soon as they download it. Among the titles available are several installments of the Assassin’s Creed saga, Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or Dishonored.

From Software has partnered with Bandai Namco again to publish a completely new intellectual property. This is Elden Ring, a video game that will follow in the wake of previous works and that will offer a challenging product, this time framed within a more open world, whose story is written by George RR Martin, the author of A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones).
