When will the death of the PS4 come? Sony will continue to release games for the two consoles, PS4 and PS5, while gamers are acquiring their new devices. But eventually the older generation support will drop at some point.
Some important Sony exclusive games still do not define if they will be released on both consoles or only on the PlayStation 5. God of War: Ragnarok is one of the most anticipated of 2021, even so the developer Santa Monica Studios has not responded.
Other titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales or Horizon Forbidden West will be intergenerational games. In other words, they will arrive on both consoles simultaneously and possibly with an improved version for PS5.
David Jaffe, the creator of the first God of War trilogy, commented that he is confident that Kratos’ new game will be released in the next-gen. The middle Gaming Route reports that through a video, the person in charge of God of War is convinced about it.
Sony, for now, has not commented on the matter. Remember that he is no longer part of the development. There could still be a version for the PlayStation 4 with less graphical features and another that extracts all the power of the next gen.
The game still only has the PS5 tag but the release date has not been confirmed.
