Demetrius Flenory Jr. Plays his father in Black Mafia Family

Black Mafia Family is inspired by the true story of two brothers. They rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and went on to become one of the most influential crime families in America.

It is said that Big Meech had charismatic leadership. Furthermore, his brother’s business acumen and fraternal partnership’s vision beyond the drug trade and into the Hip Hop world render the brothers iconic on a global level. The two brothers defined unwavering belief in family loyalty and carried out their business practices. The story of this series talks about kinship, love, and capitalism while they pursue their dream of ruling all over America.

The series, Black Mafia Family, is the project of 50 Cent, and Demetrius Flenory Jr. agreed to appear in the same. As a cause of his dad’s lobotomized rights and freedom as a convict, his absence mapped out a vacuum in the film production. When 50 Cent realized that Demetrius did not share the semblance with Big Meech to portray the character, he found a way out.

He enrolled Demetrius in acting class to make him prepare for the role. Demetrius even pointed out that the whole exercise at the acting class was tiring and depriving. He took these intense acting sessions five times a week and two times a day for two consecutive years.
