Frankfurt (Germany), Jun 29 (EFE) .- Deutsche Börse, manager of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has acquired a majority stake in Crypto Finance, a financial group that offers trading, depositing and investing in digital assets to institutional and professional clients.

Deutsche Börse reported on Tuesday that with this acquisition it expands its offering of digital assets by providing direct entry to investors, including custody services.

The manager of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange has invested a moderate three-digit million Swiss francs in the acquisition of two-thirds of Crypto Finance, a fintech company created in 2017.

The rest of the shares remain in the hands of the investors it already had, including its CEO and founder Jan Brzezek, who will continue to run the business.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2021 once it is approved by the regulatory authorities.

The Crypto Finance group, which is supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), offers 24/7 trading and brokerage of more than 200 digital assets in combination with custody services.

“Professional and institutional clients can invest directly in digital assets without having to create their own infrastructure,” according to Deutsche Börse.
