Tu Música Urbano Awards 2023: Nominations Announced!
The Tu Música Urbano Awards are once again making headlines with the announcement of the nominees for their 2023 edition. This long-awaited event will air live in more than 150 countries through Telemundo Internacional and YouTube.
32 Categories
In its fourth edition, the gala will take place on June 15 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico, also called La Casa del Reggaetón. Premios Tu Música Urbano will honor the audience’s favorite performers in 32 categories, including the genres of reggaeton, trap and the fusions with pop, tropical and regional Mexican.
The Nominations
The award will recognize the following categories:
- Artist of the Year
- Top Male Artist
- Top Female Artist
- Song of the Year
- Top Trap Artist
- Top Urban Tropical Song
Rauw Alejandro, Feid and Bad Bunny lead the nominations with twelve, eleven and ten, respectively.
In the case of Rauw Alejandro, he competes for Artist of the Year, Top Social Artist and Song of the Year for Lokera. Feid stands as the second most-nominated for Album of the Year, Composer of the Year and Male Artist for Happy Birthday Ferxxo we pirated your album.
Bad Bunny is in third position and is up for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for Me porto bonito and Concert Tour of the Year for World’s Hottest Tour, among others.
Women are not far behind, Karol G, Rosalía and Becky G obtained the largest number of nominations, with nine, eight, and five, respectively. Along with them competes Shakira, whose collaborations with Bizarrap and Karol G earned her five nominations, including Top Urban Pop Artist.
The Other Nominees
Among the many nominees are Wisin & Yandel, Young Miko, Ángel Dior, Farruko, Indiomar, Jay Wheeler, Ozuna and Quevedo. Added to the list are Alex Zurdo, Anitta, Baby Rasta, Bizarrap, El Alfa, Funky, Gabriel EMC, Hozwal, Jhayco, Lyanno, María Becerra, Maluma, Mau & Ricky, Myke Towers, Ñengo Flow, Rafa Pabön, Redimi2, Tiago PZK, Tokischa, Yandel and Zion & Lennox, among many other stars.
Surprising Presenters and Scenery
As announced by its organizers, Premios Tu Música Urbano will have spectacular scenery and “surprising” presenters that will enhance the event like never before.
As on previous occasions, the broadcast will include the prelude space The Red Carpet of Premios Tu Música Urbano, where fans will be able to enjoy the parade of their favorite artists wearing their best outfits.
