Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed a new big update for Dragon Ball FighterZ, which will be available in all versions starting this Tuesday, August 10 – subject to change according to time zone. After months of silence, Arc System Works amazes the community and the competitive scene with a patch that affects the most important, the game mechanics, so that all the characters will undergo changes and, consequently, the way of playing will also change.
What changes in Dragon Ball FighterZ; an “expansion” in the gameplay
That millimetric effort to balance everything in each patch, which still does not introduce the demanded rollback netcode, will now be accompanied by a new mechanics in the Z Change, that will allow you to change any character at no cost when using special moves, which will open up endless possibilities in the games. In other words: we can exchange characters while using special moves, when it was not possible before. Similar to Marvel vs. Capcom.
In essence, all characters can now undergo upgrades, which will seemingly level things out and allow the meta to be recast, in a way. From EventHubs summary, move to move, how you will be affected by the new update.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is still standing and is approaching its fifth year on the market
Arc System Works seeks to extend the life of Dragon Ball FighterZ, originally published in January 2018, and thus channel its fifth year in stores. This required changes, character balances and adjustments to the frames of some movements.
Javier Sanabria, founder of BCNFighters and competitive player of Dragon Ball FighterZ, has given a positive opinion on his personal Twitter account after hearing the news: “They have released an expansion of the game as far as gameplay is concerned, this is very necessary and comes in the key moment ”, he maintains, given that this update dispels doubts about the future of the game. When some thought that we were approaching an eventual Dragon Ball FighterZ 2, now it seems closer to a fourth season of the game. Soon we will leave doubts.
With over 6 million units sold, Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
