The new adaptation of Dune changes its premiere date again and will take over from the date it had previously Cry Macho by Clint Eastwood
Dune changes its release date from October 1 to October 22, which will have its release both on HBO Max and in theaters (also in 3D and Imax formats). Rumor has it that the film was moved on the calendar with the intention of giving the James Bond film more distance, No time to die, which opens on October 8.
The sci-fi adventure film will take over from the date previously held by Clint Eastwood’s last film, Cry Macho, which will move to September 17. Also within the movements in Warner Bros. is the prequel to Los Soprano, The Many Saints of Newark, which changes its release date to October 1.

Denis Villeneuve conducts Dune from a script he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth based on the novel of the same name written by Frank Herbert. Villeneuve has also produced the film with Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, and Joe Caracciolo, Jr. Executive producers are Tanya Lapointe, Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert.
Behind the scenes, Villeneuve teams up again with two-time Oscar-nominated production designer Patrice Vermette (Arrival, Sicario, Queen Victoria), editor Joe Walker, a two-time Oscar nominee (Blade Runner 2049, The Arrival, 12 Years a Slave), visual effects supervisor Oscar Paul Lambert, a two-time Oscar nominee (Blade Runner 2049) and Oscar-winning special effects supervisor Gerd Nefzer (Blade Runner 2049). He has also collaborated for the first time with Oscar-nominated cinematographer Greig Fraser (The darkest night [Zero Dark Thirty], Rogue One: A Star Wars Story); costume designer Jacqueline West three-time Oscar nominee (The Revenant, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Quills) and co-costume designer Bob Morgan, as well as stunt coordinator Tom Struthers (trilogy The Dark Knight, Origin). Oscar-winning and Oscar-nominated composer Hans Zimmer (Blade Runner 2049, Origin, Gladiator, The Lion King) is the author of the soundtrack.
